So, in spite of this new move I have begun the process of “de-junking” the current apartment prior to moving to the new place. I decided since this is a little more permanent than all of the other moves I’ve had previously it was better to be efficient about this one and only move what NEEDS to go rather than storing things for the next time we move, only to be finally tossed then. I started in the closet, which I thought would be the easiest since you can pretty much tell when you have things that you don’t wear or don’t like anymore…boy was I wrong. The first run through I ended up pulling out only 2-3 shirts and a pair of pajama pants..wow, that will really lighten the load of moving… I decided it was time for some big guns. Pinterest. I decided to search for a decision tree to help me get rid of clothes by following a systematic approach.
But, the end result?
5 bags people. 5 bags! And gosh, I feel so much better.
So this week, my healthy challenge is to continue to de-junk this place! I’m sure it will last longer than a week, but sometimes a little decluttering is good for you. Join me this week in emptying out the junk (or previously loved treasures ) to make room for the new.
