For the last 2 months or so I’ve had a smoothie every morning for breakfast. every. single. morning. Although smoothies are wonderful and I totallyyy love a good smoothie sometimes a girl needs some change. Last week I was scourging through the cupboard for something different and realized I had some odds and ends left over…a few walnuts, a cup or so of coconut, a tablespoon of raisins…so naturally I decided granola was in order. Tahhh dah. a new breakfast for the week! Decided to give you all a legit recipe, but hey! feel free to go for the kitchen sink method and just toss together whatever mix up you have.
Trail Mix Granola
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut
1/2 cup sunflower seeds (shelled)
1/2 cup walnut pieces
1/4 cup flax seed
1/4 cup raisins
1. Mix it all together and done!
Eat it up!
– Use on top of yogurt with fresh fruit
– Add some milk for a breakfast cereal
– Breakfast on the go! Toss in a container and you’re good to go.
Wow. Breakfast of champions.
